摘要: Fifty-three of 57 patients who had evidence bitemporal epileptiform abnormalities and required investigation with stereotactic depth electroencephalography (SDEEG) recordings to determine the site origin seizures underwent surgical resection for treatment their epilepsy. A minimum 2 years' follow-up was available in 48 a temporal lobe resection. In this group, 19 (40%) were greatly improved, these 14 (29%) became seizure free 5 (10%) no more than 3 each year. Another 22 (46%) showed worthwhile reduction frequency at least 50%. Seven (15%) not significantly improved. An etiological factor early convulsions before age (usually febrile) associated better outcome. Both lack strong predominance SDEEG-recorded arise resected presence residual postexcision electrocorticogram correlated poorer results.
