The Influence of Occupational Categories on Overall and Domain-Specific Physical Activity and the Association with Chronic Diseases. An Analysis Using the Austrian Health Interview Survey

摘要: Background: The performance of physical activity (PA) in different domains varies between occupational groups and they contribute differently to the prevention management chronic diseases. This study aimed give a fuller picture potential influence categories have on PA among Austrian population working age. Methods: A total 8251 gainfully employed persons 9 major 39 sub-major from Health Interview Survey 2014 were analyzed. was measured with Physical Activity Questionnaire European (EHIS-PAQ) prevalence 17 diseases obtained. Results: 48.2% mostly active when working, 18.4% reported transport-related upper quintile, 50.4% performed at least 150 min per week moderate or cycling, 32.7% muscle-strengthening twice week, 76.3% either physically complied aerobic guidelines. As general rule, people tended perform less their leisure time vice versa. Occupational especially low amount Information Technology workers, directors, secretarial staff. People disease PA, but there an interaction occupation PA. Conclusions: Domain-specific programs promote should be developed for various categories.
