摘要: Abstract To extend our previous study [22] on the behavioral effects of testosterone propionate (TP) and dihydrotestosterone (DHTP) to a dose-range producing supra-physiological plasma androgen levels, 4 castrated cynomolgus monkeys were tested with same females during successive 4-week treatment periods while receiving 800 μg, 1.6 mg, 3.2 6.4 mg 12.8 TP or DHTP SC/day in counterbalanced order (16 pairs, 828 1-hr tests). Both androgens increased male sexual activity, but was less effective than increasing numbers ejaculations per test failed restore ejeculations intact levels. Giving androgen-treated males single injections 50 μg 100 estradiol benzoate (EB) without any additional effect behavior 256 test). examine hormonal brain, given either 3 H-T H-DHT, tissues examined by high performance liquid chromatography (hplc). After H-T, H-E 2 unchanged major forms radioactivity nuclei from hypothalamus, preoptic area amygdala. H-DHT predominated. The lower effectiveness DHT could not be ascribed its failure enter brain. data suggested role for T regulation ejaculatory primate.
