摘要: Abstract This study expands the environmental sustainability paradigm of reverse supply chains. The examines notion closed-loop chains and suggests use term in academia business is too limited from a perspective. Three case examples automotive remanufacturing were chosen to represent global, multi-tier industry with documented circular economy strategies. A simple conceptual framework developed that bridges different concepts “loops” at whole product, component material levels, which then used show focus on OEM activities appear overlook alternative models chain loops. considers how these loops contribute by looking market dynamics relations between actors remanufacturing. Alternative may product displacement thus provide positive resource results. narrow “closed loops” supply-chain research simplifies potential benefits weaknesses, overlooks contribution “open chains, enable innovation can improve outcomes article fills void management argues for more adaptive approach end-of-life products.
