摘要: Decision aids educate patients about treatment options and outcomes. Communication include question lists, consultation summaries, audio-recordings. In efficacy studies, decision increased patient knowledge, while communication question-asking information recall. Starting in 2004, we trained successive cohorts of post-baccalaureate, pre-medical interns to coach the use at our university-based breast cancer clinic. From July 2005 through June 2012, used RE-AIM framework measure Reach, Effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation Maintenance interventions. We have sustained a clinic-wide implementation novel staffing model that uses paid unpaid student as coaches.
