摘要: In this study, we aimed at evaluation of electrophysiological and histopathalogical characteristics statin-induced muscle injury as well clinical features patients who develop condition in terms frequency pattern evolution.Forty (age 39-74 years) including 25 subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus, 9 cardiovascular diseases 6 hyperlipidemia, were receiving atrovastatin 40 mg/day for variable period, studied. Thirty three healthy 31-74 served control group. Creatine phosphokinease level, thyroid function, motor unit potential parameters fiber conduction velocity biceps brachii tibialis anterior muscles measured.Creatine phosphokinase level was elevated statin users, particularly those mellitus. Less than 50% users experienced symptoms related to injury. Muscle the significantly reduced. Statin mellitus showed significant changes compared hyperlipidemia. biopsies variation size, fibrosis mild inflammatory cell infiltration. Immunohistochemical positive expression Bcl-2 one patient P53 immunohistochemical creatine phosphokinase.Atorvastatin increased average kinase, statins produce even asymptomatic subjects. Diabetic more prone others. is recommended a simple reliable test diagnose myopathy instead invasive biopsy.
