摘要: Ecological studies of movements in animals require extensive knowledge direction, distance and frequency movements. The purpose this study was to describe the daily seasonal a population South American rattlesnake, Crotalus durissus. inhabits cerrado area southeastern Brazil. Snakes were tracked with externally attached radio-transmitters thread bobbins. Larger tended make more movements, moving further from initial site capture. There no differences average between sexes. Site fidelity higher dry season for both Both sexes moved distances twice as long those calculated by drawing straight line consecutive points. movement pattern C. durissus seemed be similar that observed other tropical pit vipers, such species genus Bothrops.
