摘要: SUMMARY The susceptibility of stems six potato cultivars to Erwinia carotovora subsp. atroseptica was assessed in two years (1981 and 1982) either by direct inoculation the field or detached laboratory. These a further 22 were also three (1982-84) inoculating glasshouse-grown plants. Different methods types inocula tested. In field, wooden toothpicks rubbed bacterial slime more successful establishing infection than when dipped suspension, but injection suspension with hypodermic needle reliable over range concentrations. Detached readily infected gave consistent results compared field. The reaction similar both stem glasshouse tests. The early Pentland Javelin Ulster Sceptre most susceptible maincrop cultivars, Maris Piper intermediate Desiree King Edward least whereas Crown showed greater resistance field. Glasshouse tests using indicated susceptibilities; Manna, Bard Estima Crown, Dell, Hawk, Ivory Squire susceptible.
