摘要: Abstract Long and random hemp kenaf fibres were used in the as-received condition alkalized with a 0.06 M NaOH solution. They combined polyester resin hot-pressed to form natural fibre composites. The mechanical properties of composites measured observe effect alignment alkalization. A general trend was observed whereby long gave higher flexural modulus strength compared made from fibres. Alkalized kenaf–polyester possessed superior hemp–polyester For high are associated low work fracture. Scanning electron microscopy micrographs treated showed absence surface impurities which present on untreated Apparent density measurements did not show significant change after alkalization NaOH. Wide endothermic peaks differential thermal analysis thermograms for all indicated presence moisture leads inferior properties. Dynamic carried out matrix that have E ′ values corresponding moduli. Any correlation between treatment fracture tan δ is less clear.
