摘要: Abstract European black poplar ( Populus nigra L.) has become threatened by the widespread disappearance of riparian forests in Europe. Gene introgression through hybridization with related, non-indigenous taxa may additionally reduce population size and genetic diversity native poplar. We assessed exposure Slovenia to using a combination habitat gene flow models. The model was built data mining on forest inventory employing classification decision trees. Dispersion distances for pollen, seeds vegetative parts at 0.9% 0.001% adventitious presence threshold were modified To protect poplar, protection zones around stands proposed. Since be exposed various pressures (e.g., vicinity exotic, genetically compatible plantations, or feral populations potentially initiated along transport corridors rivers), we intensity pressure intersecting occupied potential areas. In 2010, occurred 43,756 ha (2.2% total Slovenian territory), while suitable extended up 108,724 ha (5.4%). 0.5–4.6 times larger than depending selected type dispersion vector. worst case scenario, 45.1% would high pressure. recommend extending proposed methodological approach other regions endangered
