摘要: What's known on the subject? and What does study add? Previous descriptions of haematuria after brachytherapy are limited. This characterizes long-term incidence associated clinical risk factors prostate brachytherapy. Objective To characterize history gross brachytherapy. To identify treatment for development in this setting. Patients Methods We reviewed outcomes collected prospectively 2454 patients treated with transperineal over a 20-year period at single institution. Patients were followed median 5.9 years. The association age, pretreatment PSA, ethnicity, tumour stage, Gleason score, volume, isotope (iodine 125 or palladium 103), biologically effective dose (BED), external beam radiation, androgen deprivation, urinary retention occurrence biochemical failure was investigated. Results A total 218 men (8.9%) reported time 772.2 days implantation. Haematuria volume >40 cm3 (P 7 = 0.037), Asian ethnicity 200 Gy 0.01), freedom from 0.004). On multivariate analysis, 0.002), 0.001), 0.035) predictors haematuria. Conclusions Late observed small proportion may occur considerable latency. Larger glands, radiation factors.
