摘要: Recent metropolitan strategies for Melbourne (2002) and Sydney (2005) are reviewed in order to establish why they were produced, what their main proposals the kind of methodology used.The central question posed is whether provide sufficient purpose direction while at same time acknowledging uncertainties facing future both cities. It concluded that seeking certainty too prescriptive deterministic provisions, but do a basis adaptation adjustment changing conditions. These challenges exist terms climate change, management use energy water, transport, need national approach planning Australian urban system.
