摘要: In the present paper an experimental study to investigate turning of hardened AISI 6150 heat treatable steel using polycrystalline boron nitride (PCBN) tools is presented. Design and analysis computer experiments (DACE) was used generate a comprehensive empirical description process characteristics. More specific, effects parameters cutting speed, feed depth cut on objectives tool wear, life, life volume, surface finish forces were modeled. A total 157 carried out with 15 different parameter-value sets obtain training data for modeling progression versus path length width flank wear land. Pseudo-3D plots are generated visualize interactions. Unexpected found validity conclusions about effect speed discussed. Moreover, qualitative explanations some observed
