摘要: The radiotherapy community has in the past few decades witnessed dramatic shift treatment modalities from conventional 2-D to now widely practiced 3-DCRT, IMRT and evolving IGRT. generated so much interest because of its unique dosimetric modulation concentrate doses targets interests while also being able relatively spare neighboring normal tissue. However is not all one solution for radiotherapeutic management solid malignancies. current enthusiasm most be tempered with an understanding complexities planning, delivery, quality assurance, monitoring clinical limitations. widespread implementation this technological innovation may have been a bit premature considering that information regarding same still generated. This article tries give overview potential advantages/disadvantages set up controversies (Grey Zone) are resolved. There evidence indicate indiscriminately used even harm patient or inferior therapeutic index 3DCRT. other pertinent issues will covered by authors short review practice.
