摘要: Increased demand for wrought aluminum products has put pressure on suppliers to increase the amount of recycled material used in production stream. While this financial and ecological benefits, even single-source scrap streams never exhibit composition profile original product. The corresponding accumulation so-called “tramp” elements such as iron, chromium, vanadium can have an impact secondary phase intermetallic particles formed during Direct-Chill (DC) casting. In order better understand influence increased concentrations certain tramp elements, AA3104 ingot been cast with level iron compared standard. analyzed a function position using deep-etch technique grain size macrosegregation profiles.
