摘要: The facet-analytic paradigm is probably the most distinct approach to knowledge organization within Library and Information Science, in many ways it has dominated what be termed ''modern classification theory''. It was mainly developed by S.R. Ranganathan British Classification Research Group, but mostly based on principles of logical division more than two millennia ago. Colon (CC) Bliss 2 (BC2) are among important systems this theoretical basis, also influenced development other systems, such as Dewey Decimal (DDC) applied websites. still a strong position field explicit ''pure'' (KO) (but not implication necessarily one). strength its way provides structures (KOS). main weaknesses (1) lack empirical basis (2) speculative ordering without or influence theories socio-historical studies. seems problematic assumption that relations between concepts priori established models, laws.
