摘要: Cathepsin K is essential for normal bone resorption; humans lacking cathepsin exhibit pycnodysostosis, which characterized by short stature and osteosclerosis. knockout mice develop osteopetrosis display features characteristic of osteoclasts isolated from these impaired resorption in vitro.
