摘要: This paper addresses the gap in knowledge transfer literature around how universities choose specific organizational models for their offices (KTOs). Organization theory points towards strong interlinkages between strategy, structure and processes organizations. motivates an exploration of similar links within setup KTOs. In doing so, provides a unified theoretical framework university's choice structure, business model strategic preferences KTOs linked to university-specific contextual factors. A qualitative approach is used wherein four very distinct British are examined as individual case studies. The authors find that aims university practitioner engagement, quantity applied research specialization key factors determining characteristics KTO. derived from cases makes two contributions literature. First, it university-level local transfer. Second, allows us develop set generic transfer, which can potentially guide own models.
