摘要: PURPOSE To investigate the cost-effectiveness of high-dose MR contrast studies in management brain metastases. METHODS During phase III clinical trial (0.3 mmol/kg), 11 27 patients were judged by reviewers to have potential treatment changes based on additional information provided studies. We retrospectively evaluated how many these had actual because results study. Using fee schedule at our institution, was analyzed cost savings from and expense implementing RESULTS A total 3 craniotomies ($22,800 each) 2 aggressive courses radiation therapy ($1122 avoided 4 lesions detected This resulted a $70,644. The extra for study is $9126 single injection all patients, $9295 separate injections completed 1 visit $11,154 visits. (diagnosis treatment) therefore ranged $59,490 $61,518 $2203 $2278 per patient. CONCLUSION Based limited data, seems impact positively However, limitations, need be confirmed with larger patient population more standardized approach schedule.
