摘要: PURPOSE Although studies obtained with triple-dose contrast administration can show more brain metastases than those single-dose material in patients multiple metastases, such are costly and of limited clinical benefit. Since most who undergo screening have negative findings or a single metastasis, this study was performed to compare the utility versus large group could benefit from possible increased sensitivity lesion detection. METHODS Ninety-two consecutive equivocal solitary metastasis on contrast-enhanced MR images underwent studies. Findings were compared standard reference composed panel review long-term follow-up. Further analysis by comparing results two blinded readers. RESULTS In all 70 studies, depicted no additional terms reference. No statistically significant difference seen between single- For 10 helped clarify presence absence 50% cases. 12 study, 25% one readers, use led statistical decreasing number readings but at expense increasing false-positive readings. CONCLUSION Routine cases suspected is not helpful. On basis our investigation, we conclude that beneficial selected although disadvantage results.
