摘要: The present paper deals with the investigation of evaporation B2O3 and Na2O from F-free mold slags in temperature range 1573 to 1673 K by Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) method. study was aimed at elucidating mechanism during continuous casting identifying resulting effect on flux composition. basicity found slightly enhance rate slags, suggesting that mass transport liquid phase plays a role controlling evaporation. TiO2 addition resulted an increasing due decrease viscosity slag. diffusional gas transfer gas/slag interface bulk theoretically estimated results suggest this process is not step. increase ZrO2 possibly fact solid particles existing slag act as nucleation sites bubbles formation. also experimental temperatures.
