摘要: Transposable elements are ubiquitous in all organisms and represent a dynamic component of their genomes, causing mutations thereby genetic variation. Because independent expansive replication strategy, these called selfish were thought to have no impact on the adaptive evolution host organisms. Although most TE-induced seem exert only negative effects fitness carrier, recent evidence indicates that course at least some TE-mediated changes become established features genome. For example, insertion TEs may provide novel cis-regulatory regions preexisting genes or TE-derived trans-acting factors undergo molecular transition into through process described as domestication. The stationary P element related gene clusters D. guanche, madeirensis subobscura an excellent model system study evolutionary genome evolution. Each cluster unit consists cis-regulating section composed different sequences followed by first three exons coding for 66 kDa ‘repressor-like’ protein.
