摘要: Toxin-antitoxin (TA) systems are prevalent in bacteria and archaea. Although not essential for normal cell growth, TA implicated multiple cellular functions associated with survival under stress conditions. Clinical strains of currently causing major human health problems as a result their multidrug resistance, persistence strong pathogenicity. Here, we present review the described to date biological role pathogens belonging ESKAPE group (Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa Enterobacter spp.) others clinical relevance (Escherichia coli, Burkholderia spp., Streptococcus spp. Mycobacterium tuberculosis). Better understanding mechanisms action will enable development new lines treatment infections caused by above-mentioned pathogens.
