Thermospray liquid chromatography‐mass spectrometry in phytochemical analysis

摘要: Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) has become a successful analytical tool and is no longer regarded as pure research instrument without any routine practical applications. The development of the thermospray interface (TSP) been great help in this respect, allowing direct use standard HPLC conditions (1 mL/min, aqueous solvents) for LC-MS coupling. TSP used phytochemical analysis powerful detection technique on-line identification quantification plant constituents, even trace amounts. Applications to different classes metabolites such polyphenols, terpenes, sugars, glucosinolates, alkaloids glycosides are described. potential crude extracts discussed.
