摘要: Rationale Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most frequently encountered compressive neuropathy of upper limb. The treatment CTS ranges from conservative management to carpal release. Many patients with misconception about potential morbidity and hope successful delay surgical release tunnel. This results in reduced recovery sensory motor median nerve function. Objective The aim this study was evaluate influence preoperative duration severity symptom on outcome surgery. Method It included 45 cases CTS, all treated limited access open symptoms (i.e., pain, numbness, tingling, waking up at night because pain/numbness, difficulty grasping small objects, their severity) noted using Boston questionnaire. To investigate outcome, were divided into three groups based symptoms. Result Group1: normal a short period time who presented less than 6 months. Group 2: Patients whom lasted for 12 months had or delayed hand function as compared first group. 3: more incomplete grip strength. Return took longest (median: 16 weeks) Conclusion This suggests that present late have delayed/incomplete relief after
