摘要: Before 1989, dengue epidemiology in Sri Lanka was characterized by frequent transmission of all four serotypes but a low incidence hemorrhagic fever (DHF). After cases DHF dramatically increased. Here we present the results epidemiologic studies conducted Colombo, before and after epidemic emergence 1989. We compared proportion among people with attending clinics from 1980 to 1984 1997 1998 determine if an increase associated more being reported. also relative distribution virus circulating Colombo DHF. detected no significant differences as or serotype between pre post-DHF periods. conclude that change does not explain Lanka.
