摘要: In this study, the influence of anthropogenic pollution on aquatic environment Plitvice Lakes National Park (PLNP) was investigated during 2011–2012 using a combination chemical and cytogenetic analyses. Four groups major contaminants [(volatile organic compounds: benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX); persistent organochlorine pollutants: pesticides (OCPs) polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs); trace elements; radionuclides (90Sr, 134Cs, 137Cs)] were determined in three compartments (water, sediment, fish). Mass fractions inorganic constituents different reflected geological background area, indicating their origin from predominantly natural sources. Levels volatile compounds water fish, respectively, very low, at levels typical for remote pristine areas. Analysis sediment revealed elevated activity concentrations 137Cs water, measurable 134Cs upper layers April 2011, possibly as consequence Fukushima nuclear accident March 2011. The potential genotoxicity river lake assessed under laboratory conditions alkaline comet assay human peripheral blood lymphocytes, measured primary DNA damage within acceptable boundaries. results showed that despite protected status park, impact exists both its terrestrial components. Although contaminant further monitoring is recommended to make sure they will not rise cause potentially hazardous impacts.
