摘要: A causal relationship between diet-induced hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy) and accelerated atherosclerosis has been established in apolipoprotein E-deficient (apoE−/−) mice. However, it is not known whether the proatherogenic effect of HHcy apoE−/− mice independent hyperlipidemia and/or deficiency apoE. In this study, a comprehensive dietary approach using C57BL/6J was used to investigate an risk factor for or dependent on additional factors that increase plasma lipids inflammation. at 4 wk age were divided into 6 groups: chow diet (C), + methionine (C+M), western-type (W), (W+M), atherogenic (A), (A+M). After 2, 10, 20, 40 diets, sacrificed, levels total homocysteine, cysteine, glutathione, as well cholesterol triglycerides analyzed. Aortic root ...
