摘要: Oxytocin (OT) influences how humans process information about others. Whether OT affects the processing of oneself remains unknown. Using a double-blind, placebo-controlled within-subject design, we recorded event-related potentials (ERPs) from adults during trait judgments and celebrity on word valence, after intranasal or placebo administration. We found that vs. treatment reduced differential amplitudes fronto-central positivity at 220-280 ms (P2) self- valence-judgments. tended to reduce amplitude late positive potential 520-1000 (LPP) self-judgments but increase LPP other-judgments. effects P2 celebrity-judgments were positively correlated with measure interdependence self-construals. Thus modulates neural correlates self-referential this effect varies as function interdependence.
