摘要: This paper describes a system to semi-automatically extend and refine ontologies by mining textual data from the Web sites of international online media. Expanding seed ontology creates semantic network through co-occurrence analysis, trigger phrase disambiguation based on WordNet lexical dictionary. Spreading activation then processes this find most probable candidates for inclusion in an extended ontology. Approaches identifying hierarchical relationships such as subsumption, head noun analysis consultation are used confirm classify found relationships. Using "climate change" example, demonstrates how spreading improves result naturally integrating mentioned methods.
