摘要: Objective—To develop an orthotopic model of canine osteosarcoma in athymic rats as a for evaluating the effects stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) on cells. Animals—26 nude rats. Procedures—3 experiments were performed. In first 2 experiments, injected with 1 × 106 Abrams cells into proximal aspect tibia (n = 12) or distal femur (6). Tumor engraftment and progression monitored weekly via radiography, luciferase imaging, measurement urine pyridinoline concentration 5 weeks histologic evaluation after euthanasia. third experiment, 8 underwent cell injection SRT was administered to affected area three 12-Gy fractions delivered consecutive days (total radiation dose, 36 Gy).
