Analysis of the 5.8S rRNA Gene and the Internal Transcribed Spacers in Naegleria spp. and in N. fowleri

摘要: Internal transcribed spacers (ITS) and the 5.8S ribosomal gene of 21 Naegleria fowleri strains eight other species including gruberi were sequenced. The results showed that this region can help differentiate between within species. phylogeny spp. deduced from ITS produced four major lineages, fowleri-lovaniensis, galeacystis-italica-clarki-gruberi-australiensis, andersoni-jamiesoni, pussardi, fit perfectly with those inferred 18S rRNA analysis. N. isolate, NG260, was closely related to pussardi. isolates branched together australiensis in another lineage. for congruent previously by RAPD phylogenetic analysis data revealed two groups. French Cattenom Chooz South Pacific constituted first group. second group encompassed corresponding Euro-American Widespread variants shared same substitution gene. In addition, it possible define specific primers regions rapidly identify fowleri.
