Invasive pneumococcal disease in New Zealand 1998-2005: capsular serotypes and antimicrobial resistance.

摘要: Isolates from 3903 cases of invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD) were referred to the national reference laboratory over 8 years, 1998–2005, as part laboratory-based surveillance this in New Zealand. All isolates serotyped and their antimicrobial susceptibility was tested. The incidence IPD highest young children, with an average annual 100·8/100 000 infants aged <2 years. There changes prevalence several serotypes during 8-year period. Overall seven included 7-valent conjugate vaccine, 4, 6B, 9V, 14, 18C, 19F 23F, most common accounted for 80·9% no overall change penicillin resistance or non-susceptibility rates 7·1% 17·1%, respectively, 2005.
