摘要: The transmethylation hypothesis of schizophrenia was reviewed with considerations that large doses methionine when combined a monoamine oxidase inhibitor lead to exacerbation psychotic symptoms in significant percentage chronic schizophrenic patients. It noted nicotinic acid the dosage 3,000 mg/day can neither prevent nor counteract psychopathology thus induced.
