摘要: Lionfish, Pterois volitans and P. miles, are native to the Indo-Pacific have recently invaded Western Atlantic Ocean. Strategies for control of this invasion included limited removal programs promotion lionfish consumption at both local commercial scales. We demonstrate that meat contains higher levels healthy n-3 fatty acids than some frequently consumed marine fish species. Mean fillet yield was 30.5% total body wet weight, a value is similar grouper porgy A sensory evaluation indicated meet acceptability threshold most consumers.
