摘要: Pulmonary embolism (PE) is one of the leading causes in-patient hospital deaths. As a consequence, identification hemostatic variables that could identify those at risk would be important in reducing mortality. It has previously been thought deep vein thrombosis and PE are single disease entity would, therefore, have same factors. This view changing, however, with realization prevalence FV Leiden, recognized genetic factor for thrombosis, may 'milder' PE. These observations suggest not only associated different set factors, but reflective clot structure.
