摘要: Data on densities, biomass and ecological factors governing the distribution of various wild ungulate species in difFerent management units Gir forest from 1987 to 1989 were collected. Density ungulates ranged 50.8 km−2 0.42 km−2, highest for chital (Axis axis), followed by chinkara (Gazella gazella), sambar (Cervus unicolor), nilgai (Boselaphus tragocamelus) chowsingha (Tetracerus quadricornis). The density did not vary significantly between different censuses units. 3290 kg National Park 1900 Sanctuary East. Following partial removal people livestock mid-1970s, there was an increase population all except pig (Sus scrofa). Concurrently, proportion prey lion's diet. Chital has shown a 1320% increase. An suitable habitats decrease direct competition with are most likely have triggered eruption population. These estimates discussed relation prevailing conditions Gir.
