摘要: A total of 33 crude and cloned Trypanosoma rangeli stocks found as natural infections in human from Panama other endemic areas Central South America were evaluated producers sialidase (SA) activity through the MU-NANA fluorescence test. Negative results observed 6 isolates: (4), Honduras (1), Brazil (1). In addition, an immunoblotting analysis confirm presence SA antigen these without enzymatic activity. These findings must be considered interpretation biological significance T. proper characterization identification this parasite.
