Bronchoscopic Delivery of Lipiodol as a Fiducial Marker in Lung Tumors Before Radiotherapy

摘要: Definitive radiotherapy treatment of thoracic tumors may be hampered by poor tumor visualization on radiological imaging and the effects motion. Fiducial markers act to enhance tracking. Traditional solid fiducial markers, however, result in complications, particularly proximal lung lesions. These complications mitigated through use a liquid marker. This article presents four cases which demonstrate feasibility bronchoscopic delivery lipiodol as marker, aid guided for certain tumors.
