摘要: Educating the Human Brain is product of a quarter century research. This book provides an empirical account early development attention and self regulation in infants young children. It examines brain areas involved regulatory networks, their connectivity, how influenced by genes experience. Relying on latest techniques cognitive temperament measurement, neuroimaging, molecular genetics, integrates research neural networks common to all us with studies individual differences. In this book, authors explain where, when, performs functions that are necessary for learning. Such include attending information; controlling through effort; regulating interplay emotion cognition; coding, organizing, retrieving information. The suggest these aspects can support school readiness, literacy, numeracy, expertise. audience includes neuroscientists as well developmental educational psychologists who have interest many helpful visuals - including diagrams, pictures photographs experimental setups, graphs tables displaying key data also give appeal graduate students.
