摘要: The SPICAM Light optical package on the ESA Mars Express mission is dedicated to nadir, limb, solar and stellar occultation observations in UV NIR spectral ranges. A lightweight (~0.7 kg) near infrared channel of this instrument employs an acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF). To our knowledge it one first spectroscopic applications AOTF a civilian spacecraft. single-pixel spectrometer will sequentially measure spectrum reflected radiation from between 1 1.7 µm with resolution 3.5 cm -1 , spatial ~6 km 250-km orbit. fiber-coupled entry allows profiling Martian atmosphere occultations. chosen configuration conserves both polarizations allowing therefore spectropolarimetry measurements. main scientific objectives are measurements vapor column abundance simultaneously ozone (measured channel) retrieving H2O profiles flight model assembled calibrated. Future development including employing multipixel linear array for cross-track mapping extension range discussed.
