摘要: The production of antifungal substances by bacteria has long been recognized and this knowledge is entering practical life through the use bacterial antagonists to protect crops against their fungal enemies. Recently, it become clear that in addition diffusible substances, emit a wide range volatile compounds into atmosphere. Over last ten years, evidence accumulated these volatiles are not only able promote plant growth, but also strongly inhibit growth. As demand for organic products need render agriculture more sustainable rising, finding new environmentally friendly crop protection strategies essential. In perspective, newly discovered capacity efficiently repel phytopathogenic fungi laboratory experiments holds great promise. section, recent on inhibiting potential causing major diseases summarized, future research questions highlighted putative applications discussed.
