摘要: OBJECTIVE Analyzing profiles of intoxication and accidental poisoning infant-juvenile population (0-24 years) in the household, treated at a reference facility for Emergency Primary Care, during year 2013. METHOD A descriptive, cross-sectional study. Data were analyzed using Epi-Info, by way simple bivariate analyzes. The project was approved Research Ethics Committee (protocol 405.578). RESULTS There 45 intoxications, with prevalence males (60.0%), aged 1-4 years (71.1%). Among children under one, there higher frequency pesticide (66.6%), between ages cleaning products (34.4%), 5-9 age pharmacological substances (66.6%). primary assistance provided only health institutions, hospital admissions 24.4% cases. CONCLUSION importance prevention through legislation is evident, order to ensure greater safety packaging various products, community awareness eliminate risks household environment.
