摘要: This study analyzes toxic exposures to household cleaning products based on data from the Center for Notification and Treatment of Poisoning (CEATOX) in Campina Grande, Paraiba State, Brazil, 2007 2010. The were collected reporting forms Information System Notifiable Diseases (SINAN), analyzed with SPSS (Version 17). Chemical identification was performed urine samples using high-resolution chromatography techniques (GC-MS HPLC-UV). Six hundred sixty cases poisoning reported, pesticides as principal causal agents (42.2%). occurred mainly children (30.1%) and/or females (55.21%) who exposed product accidentally (55.4%) by oral route (82%). These indicate that Grande should be treated specific prevention control measures, including evaluation ease access pesticides, order reach goals set Brazilian National Health Plan 2012-2015.
