摘要: This paper focuses on the economic aspects of protective role forests against natural hazards, developing an estimation methodology applicable a local scale. We identified main variables that influence level those forest attributes involved directly or indirectly in protection with aim zoning homogeneous areas terms they offer. Applying replacement cost method monetary value function can be estimated for zones. The permits works to calculated precisely according characteristics territory each zone. was tested province Trento (North East Italy) area where serve multiple functions and social objectives are intimately linked indirect mountain slopes direct human activities. enables environmental concerns included decision-making by integrating ecological approaches. It could useful as criterion ranking different management options, i.e. approaches based principle close-to-nature forestry forms focus productive forests. Accordingly it enable managers build consensus around take into account hazards disturbances.
