摘要: Forests can play a very significant role in protection against natural hazards and risks mountain lands, especially erosion rockfalls. This paper first assesses knowledge concerning the capacity of forests to control hazards, with emphasis placed on forest location catchments or slopes. Zoning aspects are then presented; based use GIS, they allow determining priorities for forestry operations (cuts biological engineering), view setting up an ''optimal management'' ecosystems. Finally, explanation is given how results research used management planning ecosystems, illustrated by example researcher-practitioner transfer France. Zoning, prevention, display regular developed. On basis experience presented here, recommendations proposed better take into account risks. It necessary have adapted legislative economic framework, define priority intervention zones determine sylviculture.
