摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the metabolism of bile acids in liver and extrahepatic tissues. Bile synthesized are primarily derivatives 5 β -cholanic acid; however, lower animals some fishes may be predominantly α or allo series. Eutherian mammals usually synthesize cholic chenodeoxycholic as primary acids, which conjugated with glycine taurine; remainder animal kingdom, only taurine conjugates found. These salts secreted by constituents bile, is carried via biliary duct system to gallbladder. concentrated gallbladder for ultimate discharge into duodenum where intimately associated dietary lipids its various digestive products. While most latter absorbed upper 100 cm small intestine, passively from all sites gastrointestinal tract, pass through duodenum–jejunum, largely ileum active transport mechanism. The section intestine contains microorganisms, does large receives bowel. Biochemical studies isolated rat hepatocytes have been concerned mechanisms, secretion biosynthesis acids.
