摘要: During the Southern California Air Quality Study (SCAQS) in summer and fall of 1987, specially designed SCAQS samplers were used to collect particles gaseous species. Ion chromatography (IC) colorimetry employed analyze particulate ionic species while trace elements analyzed using x-ray fluorescence (XRF). Potential source contribution function (PSCF) analysis was applied chemistry data acidic collected by at Burbank, Claremont Rubidoux sites meteorology form air parcel backward trajectories. The results are presented as gridded conditional probability maps showing areas that have a potential contribute high concentrations observed receptor sites. In order quantitatively determine mass contributions from these identified sites, apportionment method developed utilizes PSCF ground elevated level emission inventories. One result is joint map quantities emitted transported three with and/or without undergoing chemical transformations during transport. Another for each single site possible maximum amounts transformations. amount emissions generally well correlated modeling SO2 SO2−4 illustrate methodology.
