摘要: Abstract Optical, chemical, and radiation shielding characteristics of 6 types Mexican onyx from the semi-desert Zacatecas have been determined. Onyx samples are Yellow, Blue, Brown, Orange, Red Green. Characterization was carried out using Energy dispersed X-Ray fluorescence, Visible Ultraviolet Spectrometry Infrared Spectroscopy. With these techniques it possible to study physical optical Onyx; where elemental composition obtained, absorption peaks, vibrational modes band gap. As well as interactions materials with studied. From this last we obtained Mass interaction coefficient for coherent incoherent dispersion, photoelectric effect, Compton scattering pair production, in atomic nucleus electron field. For all total mass attenuation coefficients alike showing a resonance due K-shell Ca. has good features photons energy less than 100 keV because most probable event is effect.
