摘要: Research on the destinations of environmentally induced migrants has found simultaneous migration to both nearby and long-distance destinations, most likely caused by comingling evacuee permanent migrant data. Using a unique data set separate we compare contrast pre-, peri-, post-disaster systems temporary evacuees Great East Japan Earthquake Tsunami. We construct prefecture-to-prefecture matrices for Japanese prefectures investigate similarity systems. find evidence supporting presence two systems—one evacuees, who seem emphasize short distance migration, one more migrants, with preexisting ties. Additionally, our results show that in peri- post-periods is largely identical system. Our demonstrate stability concerning after major environmental event.
